It is expected that more people than ever will stay at home and holiday in the UK this year. With the vaccine being rolled out there is light at the end of the tunnel and people are now thinking they can get away this summer. Like everyone else we cannot wait until travel restrictions are lifted to get back out on the road. With demand expected to surge and the need to have a break to look forward to we have made it easier to book a break with our flexible booking policies.
The safety of our passengers and colleagues is of the utmost importance to us at all times but even more so in the current climate. Taking into consideration both Government and WHO advice, please see below the actions Discover Scotland Tours have taken to ensure maximum safety for everyone.

Before and after each tour, our coaches are fully cleaned and sanitised by our qualified team. Additionally, we have enhanced our cleaning and hygiene protocols further by way of fogging our coaches. The antibacterial & antiviral surface disinfectant used in the fogging machine uses pressure to create a fine mist (or fog) which is applied within the coach. The fine fog reaches into corners and areas that are difficult to get to during normal cleaning. This additional cleaning measure will further help prevent the spread of any possible bacteria ensuring your coach is fully sanitised prior to going on tour.

We have reduced our tour capacities from 16 passengers to a maximum of 10 to allow safe space for all. We will ensure that you will not be seated next to anybody you aren’t travelling with. Your seats will be allocated and will not change throughout your tour, giving you peace of mind before you depart.
Each customer will be temperature checked and asked to answer a Covid-19 questionnaire prior to boarding your coach.
In order to adhere to social distancing measures, printed confirmation of your tour is not be required. Please just state your name and your Booking ID.
All passengers on board MUST wear a facial covering as another form of prevention whilst in the enclosed space of the coach (We understand some passengers may be medically exempt from wearing face coverings. In these instances we will require advance written notice).
We have secured our tourism industry certification and are officially “Good To Go”. This ensures Discover Scotland Tours has demonstrated that we are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and have the appropriate processes in place.
On the day of travel, your driver-guide will be temperature checked. For your safety and theirs they will wear a facial covering except when driving as per the Department for Transport guidance. The wearing of a mask whilst driving may impact their ability to drive safely.
Hand sanitiser will be available on all of our coaches. We strongly advise passengers to use this frequently throughout the day as well as when boarding and alighting from your coach.
During your tour, touch points, handrails and areas with high traffic will be sanitised throughout the day as a further form of prevention.
As an additional measure we have installed protective screening for each seat on our coaches where there are 10 customers on board.
